Hey Guys,
I am sitting the GAMSAT next year. I am fairly confident about the exam itself, but I have a few worries about my GPA.
My GPA under my university's grading is 4.375. This is mainly due to a some dodgy semesters I had because of sickness etc.
If I take the percentages though (total average 60.117%), and compare it against the GAMSA Scale, it comes to 5.00
Is this the right way to do it? Get an average of all the percentages and compare it against the GAMSA scale?
What about you guys that have got in? What did your GPAs look like?
It's a bit of a worry for me, I'd appreciate any comments |

Heya
I got an interview for Melb - my GPA is 6.75 (or slightly higher now i think) I think there's a few uni's you won't be able to apply for as they require a minimum of 5.5 The lower your GPA is, the higher your gamsat score has to be. Alot of the uni's post cut-off GPA's and gamsat scores from previous years on their website - from memory i think ACER might aswell, if they were made available.
Did you calcualte your GPA by following the steps set out on the ACER website? That's the easiest way to do it, you can use the percentages if you have them - i know that seemed to give me a higher GPA.
Goodluck, email me if you still need a hand. |
