|
|
Hi, I would like to ask a few things:
Firstly, what universities in Australia offer medicine? (I'm having trouble googling them!). Also, I've been checking out the Melbourne Uni website (since I live in Melb) and it sounds like for graduate entry there is no government assistance to study, like hecs. And finally, it appears that certain prerequisite subjects are needed as well (namely physiology, anatomy and biochem). I am confused; please help illuminate me!
Thanks |

Hmm it shouldn't have been that difficult to find... If you go to acer's gamsat website (gamsat. acer. edu. au) and click on the "Introduction" tab up at the top, the schools are mentioned in the first paragraph.
As for Melbourne uni's apparent prerequisites, I'm confused as well=) I'm just waiting for somebody else to reply who does know what that's all about. |

Hi Alita,
Seems like Melbourne will not be taking entries in 2010 as written in the gamsat acer site.
It says "The University of Melbourne will not be accepting graduates in 2010 as part of the transition from their current four-and-a-half year MBBS to their new four-year postgraduate MD commencing in 2011."
Then again, if you want to try for 2011, here is where you will get all your financial assistance information: http://www.mdhs.unimelb.edu.au/future_students/awards_prizes_and_scholarships/graduate_scholarships |

This is all for 2011...
There will be HECS, 250 CSP places to be exact I think. 25% are people who sign the rural agreements and all that, but definitely are CSP places.
You also need to complete one of each of these at second year level:
Physiology, anatomy and biochem. |
