Hi
Does anyone here have a Bachelors degree that's older than 10 years?
Becoming a doctor is something I've wanted for a very long time but now that I have the chance, my degree is too old. I've read that some uni's accept students when they've done some other study such as a grad cert or grad dip. Has anyone here done this? What course did you do?
I'm wondering what type of course to do because I think it should be something that is 'useful' for medicine otherwise I think it would be a bit of a waste.
Or am I better off doing another undergrad degree?

| Call your preferred med schools for their suggestions. You aren't completely ruled out... |

Hi chillipea,
What Mokusatsu suggested is sound advice. The best thing to do is to contact the medical schools of interest to you before looking into the options and taking any action.
I know of a number of people who have got around this problem by enrolling in courses that can get you a graduate certificate or a graduate diploma in 1 year. Alternatively, you can look into research degrees like a Master's in medicine or public health, which can be highly relevant to your future medical studies, and can be completed within 1 year.
But see what the schools have to say first. There are certainly ways to get in. All the best!
Best regards,
