I have just done the gamsat practice test under timed conditions and was lucky to have gotten 60% of questions done. Im just wondering if its actually possible (has anyone managed to) get all the questions done in the time frame?

thanks for the heads up!

I've not done it under time constraint.

I was told by a friend who has sat the gamsat twice, that "most people don't know the answer to 'everything' in section III".

Therefore, I plan to go from start to finish, and if it is a rocky question, just make an educated guess - not 'come back to it later'. Just keep moving, and calibrating your progress to the watch.

Should you finish 5 mins early, go back to the guesswork and have a little polish.

With the ACER tests, I usually finish just halfway past the given time, but that is just me. I am one of those people who finishes things fast, like in every exam I have.

I have heard from others not finishing in time though so don't think you are alone - all you can do is practice to get your timing up to scratch (though may be a bit late with only a week to go).

If you are running short of time, use your instinct. If someone seem to be right for whatever reason, go with it and move on - if you have spare time you can come back to it. It is better to have every question answered than to leave some answers out.

It would be a shame if you answered all the questions, but only got a few right, or you got the most difficult questions right, but did not have time to finish the rest easy ones. So it is quite important to arrange your time in the real GAMSAT.

I think GAMSAT makers emphasize more on the quality than the quantity. So, in an attempt to complete all the questions, if you answer most of them wrong, then there is just no point. Try to keep your focus on answering the questions correctly rather than just trying to answer most of them. Go easy with section three!! That's all Very Happy
