I was just wondering if anyone has any idea what GPA/GAMSAT combo to aim for to get an interview for the new Melbourne Uni degree (2011 intake)?
Obviously there's no "history" because the degree has totally changed (basically absorbing the old ugrad MBBS and grad MBBS) but maybe someone has some sort of info that I can't find...

No idea about the GAMSAT, but the GPA will be around 5.5-6.
And the degree is now the MD, not the MBBS. |

| Best to check the website. There are a lot of factors that one needs to consider, including the fact that although the new graduate intake will be around 330 (which was the old ugrad + grad entry figures), approximately a quarter of this number will be international, and a proportion of the remaining 230 will be taken up by school leavers who received 99.95 and have a guaranteed place after finishing their Biomedicine degree. The GPA will not be less than 6. UMelb has been traditionally extremely competitive to get into, and so you need to check out the new MD website in order to ensure you fulfil all the requirements necessary. |
