Hi guys,
i know it is an old topic listed more than twice in this forum, but i should ask again...
i am a pharmacist, wants to get into med like all of you here. i guess the difference is that now i am a full-time mum of 11 months-old girl. it may sound like alot of time for studying, but it is not! i am trying my butt off to make some time (well ANY time) for studying but it is not a piece of cake...
so i am looking into taking a course.. since my husband is the primary bill-payer, i have to make a wise choice..
so what do you think, the past gamsatters? medprep or des oneill??
also, i study about 3 hours (max) a day.. do you think that is enough...? (that is the very maximum i can have for myself a day)
any mums who are dr-to-be out there? please tell me it is possible! |

Hi Jiye, I'm a father of two boys and the main family breadwinner. My wife and I both decided that medicine was a good long term choice for the family but it's left us pretty tight in the short run.
I don't know about medprep or des oneil as I haven't read them but I would suggest my own blog ReviseGamsat. It mainly concentrates on section 3 but there's also some advice on sections 1 and 2 as well. It's all free.
Medicine is a noble calling and I wish you the best of luck!
