Can't do science section even though I have a science degree

I have a biology degree (microbiology) and yet I cannot do the science questions, why is this? They are just so impossible! They word them in such a roundabout way and I hate calculations so much, is there any way I can get better at these questions within the next week and a half, before the exam? I've tried all the past papers but I always get real low scores on the science section.

Mate....

take your time, and read the question. Technically, you should be able to work out the answer with little/no formal training. The problem you face though, is one of time.

Worst case, use this year as a practice run, then do more prep for 2011!

I already done the test last year, didn't do well because of the science section.

It seems to focus too much on physics which it's been proven that most medical/biology students can not understand too well!

Suppose I just have to hope that I can fluke it :S.

Hmmmm its proven? stop trying to pidgeon hole yourself, or expect that just because you did a biology degree that you'll find that section a walk in the park.

I did an Arts degree.... and it had been 12 years prior that I had studied any science....

The thing is, if you really want to get into medicine.... and I mean seriously enough to work for it, you'll start with basic textbooks, and build up your knowledge.

One thing I can assure you, is that everything you learn for Gamsat will come up during your med degree....
