Okay, for all those "real" medically aspiring soap fanatics out there, the directions to Summer bay are as follows:
1. Take a 90 minute drive north of Sydney.
2. you’ll see beach after beach: Dee Why, Narrabeen, Newport, Bilgola, Avalon and Whale Beach on your right as you head north to the northern-most beach on the peninsular, Palm Beach (aka Summer Bay).
3. Be sure to say hello to Irene and if you're lucky Leah will give you a complimentary steak sambo and mug of tea in the diner.
Anyone up for a road trip?? |

Oh, that is terribly sad! I don't think I've watched an episode of Home and Away for yonks - Kate Ritchie was probably still a teenager!
If you want some real Australiana, what about Porpoise Spit from Muriel's Wedding just up the coast here? |
