are there any good textbooks which contains heaps of reading comprehension practice that are worth buying? I suck at Englihs and I suck at answering the MCQs after reading the passage!!
Wondering whether anyone can help me improve my humanities scores...What textbooks are worth doing to improve my reading skills?

| Just read anything. Time Magazine, Bulliten, even Psychology texts are a good place to gain comprehension skills. Time your self and try to read faster and faster... |

Hi people, just wanted to add to what spherion said. When you read these magazines, think about some issues: What is the topic? What is the scope of the article? What is the attitudes towards the subject matter? What is the authors purpose in writing this? Map the passage in your mind so you can locate the details when you require. Generally these articles are 1 page long covering controversial issues as in the "essay" section of time magazine so they are ideal for practice.
