Hi everyone,
I'm sitting the GAMSAT this year. I need to desperately practice essay writing and was wondering if anyone here would be willing to give me advice on essays that I write? I'm happy to share my essays as well as give others my advice.
Let me know if you are interested.
Cheers |

Hi Meowie,
Here are a few basic points that would help you to score better in section 2.
1. Read extensively. meaning anything under the sun you can get your hands on.
2. Practice creative writing. Write on anything and everything, does not matter what catches your fancy.
3. Take a good look at the sample papers to get a hang of the kind of topics that are generally set.
4. Mostly, they are one liners or quotes, pertaining to one single topic, so you have to say what comes to your mind regarding them.
5. It is not so much about your in depth knowledge of the subject, but how much you can actually put your thoughts into words.
6. Make it an easy read, without a lot of high flying words and complex construction, but something that is a pleasure to read.
Hope these help. So let your creative juices flow! |

| Actually, prepgenie was right. Try to read your essays out loud to see where you stumble over awkward phrases and which bits are boring. Good luck! |
